New Year’s Resolutions and Favourite high-end beauty products

Hi there, it’s 2018 and this is one of the happiest New Year’s I’ve ever had. Solely because I have so much to look forward to in this year. With my optimism at an all time high, I am ready and rearing to go in 2018! I have so many content ideas planned and hopefully you will all find them interesting and even more so, helpful as I bring them to life on the blog. My only resolution for this year is to live the best version of my life as I can. Simple and no pressure!

As I write this, I am hoping for everyone reading this to also take the chance to write your own ‘life story’; take control of your destiny, be creative and take chances. And most importantly, do what makes you happy.

Please find below; as an extension of this post; my favourite beauty picks of 2017 ( high-end edition). I have also done a drugstore favourites which will be up in a following post:

The Urban Decay Heat palette is literally the only one you need! I really love the deep and auburn shades and for the first time i feel like I’ve found a set of eyeshadows that really shows up on my skin tone!

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo has made my eyebrow routine a breeze; using the precision brush that comes with it, allows me to make clean, sharp lines and strokes for a feathery, natural result.

These three foundations have turned out to be my trusty trio! As their formulas all give a dewy natural coverage; Diorskin Forever foundation, Estee Lauder  Double Wear and NARS Sheer Glow foundation.

I do dabble with other perfumes however, there is really no other scent for me than the Miss Dior eau de parfum. I picked up the new formula while in London over the Christmas holidays and I have to say that this is the most divine scent yet for Miss Dior! This feminine and floral scent is just right up my street for both an everyday scent or even when the occasion is a bit more special.

Next to it is this lovely lip stain that I find perfect for a pretty natural pigment that lasts! It holds for up to 10 hours and feels weightless on my lips; The Dior Addict lip Tattoo.

The YSL Volume Effect False Cils Noir Radical is the most insanely good mascara that I’ve ever tried! The formula coats your lashes thickly with absolutely no clumps while giving you that gorgeous false lashes effect. Now, that’s quite a feat for me because I have tiny little lashes but this mascara makes all the difference.

I’ve got to feature another YSL product because they have done it again with their Rouge Volupte` Shine lipsticks. Here I have the shade, Pink in Devotion which is the perfect everyday pink! What set these lipsticks apart for me was the buttery, smooth formula that almost makes it unnecessary to even apply a lip balm before your lip colour. One word: Amazing. I hope to collect every shade of this lipstick because they are just so good.

Ok, guys I hope you enjoyed going through these products as much as I did sharing them with you. I encourage anyone to give any of these products a try. I know how pain staking it can be when deciding which luxury products to actually throw your cash down for but I assure you that all these suggestions are a good place to start if you want to begin buying higher end make-up but don’t know where to start.

Wishing you all a happy 2018! See you in the next post x

I am definitely adding that mascara to my wish list. It sounds amazing! As someone who wears little to no makeup on a daily basis, a little mascara goes a long way as it’s one of the few makeup items I can use. I love the post and I am looking forward to more from you in 2018. Wishing you an amazing new year hun!

Living the best version of oneself is a great thing to focus on. As it gives you self awareness on what you can or cannot handle and what you need to work on. Though I’m not a fan of mascara, I love the earthy, skin tone palettes; I always seem to avoid those colours and I don’t know why. I will surely be giving those colours a try this year. Thanks!
