Plaid and Purple

I’m not sure if it’s the jacket but this week I have really decided to get down to business! Being new to blogging is such a learning curve! And over these past 2 months there have been many highs and a few lows as well. From learning my way around a complex professional camera to learning the hard way what works as far as content- and what doesn’t. Now that January has flown by in a massive blur I am determined more than ever to do justice to my brand and content. There will be a lot more interesting, entertaining and edifying posts to come on the blog. I am also very passionate about food, entertaining and self- care which are elements that will be added to the blog in coming months. So stay tuned guys!

So shall we get into the detes!?? I recently picked up this Chequered jacket from Willow. Having seen this trend run rampant on Instagram all Fall/Winter 2017, I was reluctant to jump on the band wagon straight away. Finding this little number was pure chance and when i saw it, the price wasn’t too bad ( retailing at 55 euro) so I thought, “Why, not!”.

The day was uncharacteristically dry and sunny in Clare so I bravely paired this lovely blazer with a light and casual outfit underneath.

Top is a plain white pocket tee from Zara paired with my high waisted Topshop Jaimie Jeans with a black monogram belt to pull the look together and define my waist. I absolutely adore this Mauvey Camelia Roma shoulder bag at the moment so the was no better choice for me on this particular occasion!

My nude Zara ballerina flats were the perfect end to this outfit’s style story and I topped off the look with some cat- eye sunnies from ALDO.
